Defund Sanctuary Jurisdictions
Withhold all federal funding from sanctuary cities, counties, and states that refuse to cooperate with ICE and federal immigration enforcement.
The Problem
Hundreds of cities, counties, and even entire states have declared themselves 'sanctuaries' for illegal aliens, ordering their law enforcement agencies to refuse cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). These sanctuary policies release dangerous criminal aliens back onto American streets rather than turning them over to federal authorities for deportation. The result has been preventable murders, sexual assaults, and other violent crimes committed by individuals who should have been deported. These jurisdictions are openly defying federal law and endangering their own residents, yet they continue to receive billions in federal funding.
The Resolution
“We the People demand that all federal funds be withheld from any sanctuary city, county, or state that refuses to cooperate with ICE detainers and federal immigration enforcement. No jurisdiction should receive American taxpayer dollars while actively obstructing federal law and endangering American citizens. Sanctuary policies must end.”
